Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 1607 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Even better than expected After finding a great deal on Vegas.com for a room at the Mandalay, we received a complimentary upgrade for a beautiful brand-new suite in the adjacent Delano hotel wing. Everything was superlative. The Mandalay complex has many great restaurants and other attractions that guarantee you won't be disappointed . August 21, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This product needs some work I have stayed at Mandalay Hotel 4 times in the last 2 1/2 years. I was very disappointed this time for the following reasons: 1 day my hotel room did not get made until we went downstairs in late afternoon to have it made. Granted we left our room after 9:00am but still there has to something in place to know when to come back to clean our room. The mirror in the bathroom was flopped down. It would not stay up. I left a note the first day to have it fixed and it did not get fixed. We did not get hand towels one day. An extra roll of bathroom tissue was not left in our room and we ran out. In the evening we called for some to be brought up to our room. After 45 minutes we called again and finally it was brought up. The internet would not connect to my computer after the first day. The TV would say it was not reaching a signal and to turn to a different channel. This is he first time I have such a bad experience. I am not sure I will be stay at your hotel again. Thank you, Mercedes August 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel room, Pool and Casino are 5 Stars This was the first time that we have stayed at Mandalay Bay. The Hotel room, Pool and Casino were 5 Stars. The only thing I did not like was everything cost extra and was very expensive from drinks to tubes for the pool. The Casino did have a few of the older slot machines. I like the older machines I don’t care for the new video slots. We also went to MGM Grand and Luxor Casino’s. I could not find any of the older slot machines at all at either place so I did not play at either Casino while I was there. Things have changed from the last time we were in Vegas the biggest change was the higher cost of just having a good time. We did have a great time we just did not get as big as a bang for the buck as past trips. August 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A little disappointed with our experience. We were disappointed that we were at the end of the strip and did not realize this when we booked. It was our anniversary and although I mentioned this to the staff, they did go out of their way to do anything special for us. We were told that we had a room with a view of the strip which actually turned out to be a room with a view of the airport. Overall Mandaly Bay is an O.K. resort, however, if we were to ever visit Vegas again, we probably would not stay there. August 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for the family. Great if you have kids the beach is great the rooms are great we will come every year at the same date for my wife's birthday. August 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mandalay Bay is a great place to stay. An evening swim would have been nice but the pool closes early (8 pm). Pool was so crowded during the day that we were unable to use it. Our requested room type was unavailable so we were upgraded to a very nice room at no extra charge. Airline baggage check-in that was available in the hotel for our flight home was better than great! Definitely worth the fee and what a time saver. We got 2 free buffets with our reservation...won't do that again. There are just too many better places to eat in Vegas besides the buffet at the Mandalay Bay. Tram to Luxor and the Excaliber was nice and also saved time. August 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Kids The reason my girlfriends and I stayed at Mandalay Bay was because we heard they had a great pool. The pool is great, for kids! There were so many kids around at all times it almost made the pool experience bad. There is a topless pool for adults and that was fun. More of a party atmosphere. So all in all there is just no where to sit and enjoy conversation. The location also ended up being a bummer for us. The walk was at least an hour from Margaritaville because of all the heavy foot traffic. Just not a prime location. If your looking for a family resort then this is your place! August 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay lots to do especially for families I stayed at Mandalay Bay, THEHotel at Mandalay Bay is supposed to be much nicer I don't know how they could be. I do want to stay at THEHotel next time to compare the two because my room was excellent one of the best places I have ever stayed. It was 10x better that the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, VA or the Ritz Carlton in Crystal City, VA. The pool has got to be the best in Las Vegas. I met some locals that go to the pool for concerts and they agreed it is the nicest. You must check out Minus 5. August 13, 2014

I understand there is a $25 resort fee per night. Are there any other fees that we should know about (snacks in room, minibar etc)?

Answer:
At Mandalay Bay, the only fees added on are the resort fee (which includes free internet access, use of the Cardio Center, unlimited local and 800 calls, printing your boarding pass, outgoing faxes and a daily newspaper) and the room tax (which is 12%). The rooms do come with a fully stocked minibar -- and there is a charge if you consume any of the wines, beers, juices, sodas and snacks it offers.

There is a $25 per night resort fee & the mini bar & snack tray is based on a time sensor so everything you pull out is automatically charged to your room. Also for the pool area there are tubes but you have to buy them not rent them.

Answer:
Yes, the night fee is $25 plus $3 taxes = $28.00 per night. About snacks and drinks in the refrigerator, if you don't plan to eat or drink them, don't even touch them because they have some kind of sensor and it is going to show in their computer and by the time you checkout, they will ask you if you had them. Don't put any personal drink of food in the refrigerator neither, because it is also going to show and they charge $50.00 just for it....something like "you rented the refrigerator". It is OK if that is their policy, but their problem is that they never tell people when they check in, neither there is a sign in the room warning them.

The fee is $28/night. They charge for the in room snacks and they are high. Also if you pick up something from the snacks/minibar and you hold more than 30 seconds you are charged for the "purchase". I was just there this week and paid an extra $90 for their facilities fees. Though the rooms were great, I would not stay agin because of those fees.

Answer:
The mini bar has a weight system that is installed. If any of the products are bumped or removed, it will automatically charge your room for that product. I accidentally bumped some of the alcohol provided with one of my bags, and they charged my room. However, they are usually pretty good about removing the fees if you did not actually use the product.

Yes, Mandalay Beach and the other outdoor pools at Mandalay Bay are open seasonally. They are closed right now. These areas are likely to reopen in mid to late March (weather permitting). The Bathouse spa located in THEhotel, adjacent to Mandalay Bay, has an indoor pool and hydrotherapy area. You can enjoy those by getting a spa facility pass for $25.
