Rated 4 out of 5 by ACT4 The Luxor is well maintained and nice!
The Luxor is at the end of the strip but easily connected to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. The overall fragrance throughout the casino is refreshing! The rooms are a little outdated but clean and have everything that you might need!

Rated 5 out of 5 by thecemer great place to stay!
Everything was great, the staff was very helpful and nice. The room was clean and looked good. However the pool didnt have enough lounge chairs so i was stuck either laying out on the turf or cement, I ended up paying an extra $15 for the VIP entry, wasnt thrilled bout that. Overall though great price for a great place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Shortstack14 Rooms are olde than website shows.
Rooms more outdated band website pictures show, non-smoking room was still very smoky. No hot tub, had to call concierge and request the pay per view feature and was charged more for this access in addition to the movie fee. Good buffet, though.

Totally enjoyed our stay there. Staff was friendly and helpful from dealers to security personnel. Tacos and tequila was a great experience, food was delicious, happy hour was a plus. Definitely recommend the titanic exhibit. Rooms are nice. Worth every dollar spent.

It was a nice stay, the only problem was the reservation. When we arrived to check we were told that our reservation for a pyramid deluxe King room could not be honored because they did not have any available and that they could give us an upgrade to to a tower room with two queens. An upgrade??? I don't see how that is an upgrade... After 20 minutes of going back and forth with the check in person we ended up with a pyramid room with two queens. NOT what we had made reservations for months in advance. Kind of disappointing... Overall was a nice stay though, just wish they would honor your reservation that you pay for.

When we arrived at the hotel for check in we were told that the deluxe pyramid room was not available. This was very aggravating because we booked this room on vegas.com 4 months in advanced. The Luxor did quickly remedy this by giving us a deluxe room inside the Luxor west tower on the 20th floor at the same price as the Pyramid room. This was a very good deal because the tower rooms are a little more expensive than the pyramid rooms. I give the customer service a 5 out of 5 for quickly correcting the hotels mistake with no argument.
As soon as we opened the door for the first time into our room a moth flew out. There were about a dozen of them flying around the room. The next day after housekeeping cleaned the room the moths were gone and we never had a problem with them after that. The bathroom was ok. The toilet had a hard time flushing sometimes but it worked. The room had a missive show and bathtub. The shower head was subpar. I don’t know if it was a water pressure issue or if the shower head needed cleaning but it got the job done. The towels had a bit of a burnt smell to them like they left them in the drier way to long. The beds are awesome! They had a lot of comfy pillows and mattress were very comfy. The TV was nice and had a nice lineup of channels to pick from. My only complaint about this room was the air conditioner. It had a hard time keeping the room at a comfortable temperature and that’s with temperatures outside being in the 60s to 70s. I can see how this is going to be an issue with people when the dessert temps get up in the 90s and 100s in the summer. I also wish the room had a mini fridge like other hotels. For the price I give the room a 4 out of 5 stars.
The hotel location was perfect. Fast easy drive from the airport and within walking distance of all the other hotels in the area. 5 out of 5 stars
The casino was good and had a lot of machines to pick from. I hit a small jackpot on a slot machine but I had to wait almost 20 minutes for someone to come and hand pay the win. I had a lot of staff members walk right by me and did nothing. In fact I ended up having to wave down a staff member to take care of it. I didn’t have a problem finding a blackjack table to play on. Most of the dealers are very friendly but I did have a few that seemed to hate life but you get that just about anywhere you go not just here. I have to give the casino a 4 out of 5 due to the wait time on the hand payout.
The hotel layout.
It is super easy to get lost in this place. I highly recommend keeping a hotel map on you when trying to navigate this hotel. Vegas.com suggested that if you get lost, head to the edge and follow it around and that worked perfect for us. I do think the hotel could use more signs to help you navigate the casino area. Air-conditioned corridors connect the Luxor to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur and there is also a tram that connects you to other hotels.
The pool was closed the whole time I was there. Not happy about that because other hotel pool were open at the time.
At certain locations at the hotel there are a number of employees trying to sell you stuff. They say they can get you a deal on shows and exhibits but there is a catch. You have to go to this property showing for 1 hour. It is not worth it! After you add in the taxi fees to the location you need to go to you would be better off paying the full price on the show or exhibit. The problem is that you can’t go anywhere in the hotel without them approaching you trying to sell you stuff.

The first room on our arrival was not to our satisfaction. We appreciated the upgrade and we were very satisfy of the room 13209.
The last day, we have been refused the entry of the pool because our pool baggage and clothes for our flight were in a small plane bag. We had to go back to the bell desk and transfer our stuff in our beach bag! I really did not appreciate! I was in Vegas for a convention (3 days) and 6 other days for vacation!
