Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 881 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by best hotel on freemont street This hotel is far best of all the hotel and casino in downtown Las Vegas. Easy access to other casinos and shops. Most of all, its cleanest and well keep in and out. We got to ride zip lining too! Not to mention best restaurant in the hotel. Char house and Claim jumpers were great! August 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Never ever GN Bad Service, loud guests, dirty rooms, tiny pool but close to wedding stations August 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good location. Good location and food. Air conditioning in my room not as good as others. August 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rooms We stayed in the Rush Tower. Your cleaning service did not do a good job at cleaning the rooms. I stayed there last year for the first time and they did not do a good job at the time either.. August 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! Great location, the beds were soooo comfortable! You walk right out onto Fremont and the night life was awesome! August 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location I wanted to show my girlfriend a great time in Vegas. We were able to do what we wanted without too much of a time restraint. the only thing I would recommend is to take enough time to see what you like. We did not get to see the Devin chi art at the Venetian or women in art at the Bellagio. We needed about 5 hours in addition to what we planned. The pool at the casino was amazing ad our facebook friends enjoyed the photos. August 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The Golden Nugget We stayed at the Golden Nugget last week. We booked a room in the new Rush Tower - which was great. There is not a lot of shopping or anything close to the hotel. We had dinner at Vic & Anthony's and were so disappointed. My husband's steak had to be sent back twice - and at that point - what's the use in even eating. The steak went from rare to well done (it was supposed to be medium). A taxi fare from the downtown area to the strip was $25 each way. So the money we saved by staying at the Nugget was quickly used up with the taxi fares. The upgraded room was really nice - but we probably won't stay at the Golden Nugget again - just because of the inconvenient location and limited options for things to do. August 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel Because I am not one for the traffic and craziness of the strip I have always stayed at the Sahara (sadly no more) or the Riviera at the far end of the strip or at the Hilton (recently changed to the LVH and now to the Westgate) off the strip. This was my first time staying Downtown and I loved it! The Golden Nugget is a really nice hotel for gamblers and families alike. It doesn't have the drunken college student blaring music party atmosphere that most of the hotels on the strip have now acquired. It has a nice upscale, clean, relaxing but fun type of vibe. The room was really clean and modern. We stayed in the Rush Tower which has the updated rooms. I think the rooms in the other towers may be older and not quite as nice. The price was very reasonable when compared to the other hotel choices. The staff was very friendly and the location was great. There are so many things to do and see on Freemont Street. They have lots of restaurants with old school deals the way you used to find in Vegas. Tony Roma's had a delicious prime rib dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 for $8.99. They have convenient self parking right next to the Rush Tower entrance which made getting in and out of the hotel very easy. Of course the biggest thing for the kids is the awesome pool with the shark tank and water slide. As for the gambling. It was as good as it gets. Overall, I would very much recommend this hotel. Answer:
Yes, the Golden Nugget does have smoking rooms. If you're ready to book, your best bet is speak to one of our customer service representatives -- just call toll-free in the U.S. at (866) 998-3427. They can make the arrangements for you, and that way you'll be assured of receiving a smoking room.

Answer:
I took the bus (#108) from the Nugget to the airport; I believe we were dropped off at Terminal-1 and then took the shuttle to Terminal-3 (Frontier Airlines).

We caught the bus in front of the Nugget and transferred one stop later. That's where we caught the 108 line. It had a lot of stops, but we had planned for the extra time and just enjoyed the different parts of the city and the ride. I think the whole ride from hotel to airport was less than 45 minutes. Consider the time versus the $70 cab fare.

Another alternative would be to take the Express to the Strip, and then get a cab to the airport from one of the hotels. That would keep the cost down and make the trip a bit shorter.

Answer:
The Golden Nugget has two pools. The Tank (with the shark tank and a three-story water slide) and The Hideout (a private pool for guests ages 16 or older). Currently, the hours at The Tank are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, while The Hideout is open until 2 a.m. every night. The Jacuzzi at the Golden Nugget also has late hours -- i.e., open daily from 10 a.m.-2 a.m.
