Great property, some cautions though... The Golden Nugget is a great hotel property in Downtown Las Vegas. Its proximity to Freemont Street, easy transportation options to the Strip, and classy accomodation options make this a regular booking for my Las Vegas needs. Be cautioned though, that rooms overlooking the Freemont Street Experience have a tendency to be pretty loud during the show. If you are looking for a quiet room, be sure to request this upon check in (every time I have remembered to ask for this, I have been accomdated when space is available). Otherwise, I highly recommend the Rush Tower rooms, and any of the renovated Gold Tower rooms (particularly the Exec Level rooms...included internet, free bottles of water, coffee in the am and snacks throughout the day make the "upgrade" well worth it!) Great hotel if you want to enjoy Fremont St! Stayed this last New Years. Had an amazing time, hotel was super friendly and the best location if planning on enjoying FremIont St!! Can't wait to stay again! January 3, 2013
great stay but Loved the hotel , the room was fairly clean could have used a little more details. A few hairs on the bathroom floor and the skin in the bathroom was very slow. Also when I wiped some water from the bathroom floor after my shower the towel came up with dark grayish balck streaks. The bed was so comfortable. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give the bed an 11 so that made up for the sink and the not so clean bathroom floor. I've been recomending this hotel to all my friends in Denver. The pool was awesome and the staff amazing. Thanks for a great New Years!! January 3, 2013
It was easy to navigate the website. It was nice to be in the Fremont district. Vegas.com was easy to use and I found the deal that fit my budget. January 1, 2013
outstanding value, i loved my stay, i will be back again soon, the staff was friendly, and the room was nice. December 27, 2012
Not Good The Buffett did not honor the buy one get one free coupon we received through Vegas.com. The hostess said it was because it was a holiday. Christmas Eve is not a Holiday and it was also a Monday so it wasn't a weekend either. The drink coupon at the Golddiggers was honored at 2 for 1 but the price of the drink was inflated to $20.00 so not much of a deal there. The staff was rude, the non smoking rooms smell like cigarette smoke and the maids will wake you up bright and early with banging doors and there conversations between each other out in the hall ways. The rooms are clean but very dated. Everything is overpriced and just an overall bad experience here at this hotel and casino. December 27, 2012
WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND Great Hotel right in the middle of the Main Street Experience. Nice rooms Hotel layout. December 27, 2012
Best place in Vegas The golden nugget is a great place to stay right on Fremont Street. Downtown is so more laid back than the strip and a bunch of fun. December 22, 2012

Answer:
No. You can take public transportation but you must transfer buses once and I wouldn't recommend it. Take a cab from the airport and tell him to take the fast way. He'll know.

Answer:
No. It runs up and down the strip and to Fremont Street Expierence. You can take the Deuce from the Nugget (after a two block walk down Fremont) all the way to the top of the strip.

Answer:
I took the bus (#108) from the Nugget to the airport; I believe we were dropped off at Terminal-1 and then took the shuttle to Terminal-3 (Frontier Airlines).

We caught the bus in front of the Nugget and transferred one stop later. That's where we caught the 108 line. It had a lot of stops, but we had planned for the extra time and just enjoyed the different parts of the city and the ride. I think the whole ride from hotel to airport was less than 45 minutes. Consider the time versus the $70 cab fare.

Another alternative would be to take the Express to the Strip, and then get a cab to the airport from one of the hotels. That would keep the cost down and make the trip a bit shorter.

Answer:
The Golden Nugget has two pools. The Tank (with the shark tank and a three-story water slide) and The Hideout (a private pool for guests ages 16 or older). Currently, the hours at The Tank are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, while The Hideout is open until 2 a.m. every night. The Jacuzzi at the Golden Nugget also has late hours -- i.e., open daily from 10 a.m.-2 a.m.

I believe you can get in around 9am and reserve your chaise lounge (or other sitting area, like the sofas), but the pool doesn't open till 10am. I think it closes at 11pm.

Answer:
Hello! From what we've seen, as long as they have on the special swimmer diapers, stay in the shallow end by your side and are supervised at all times, there shouldn't be any problem. As for an actual diaper, these will absorb all the water so that might not be the best idea. Swimmers are your best bet and these will be fine. Have fun in Vegas with your little one!
