Rated 2 out of 5 by Sensei Not impressed
Didn't realize parking is Valet only...We booked the Deluxe King and requested a non-smoking room; didn't matter much as our room constantly smelled like second-hand smoke coming from other areas of the hotel....bathroom very small, and the toilet was similar to one found in a fast food restaurant....the room seemed clean...shower had good supply of hot water...We were on the 11th floor; our window overlooked the street and you could hear the constant honking of cars and sirens...wish the room had a coffee maker...not enough black jack tables available on Friday night...maybe our expectations were too high, but we will probably try a different hotel the next trip to Vegas.

by Damper88 Trash bag drapes
Recently remodeled and they did a good job except. They replaced drapes with shutters... This is not a good choice. The amount of light from outside lights seeping through the shutters kept us awake the first night. Solved by going to Wal Mart and buying black trash bags and each night hung them from the slats and removed each morning. Not what I had in mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Richard1234 Good Vegas Hotel on a Budget
The Fremont Hotel and Casino is a great place to experience Vegas on a budget. It is, however, about a 40 minute bus ride from the main strip but there is a lot to do in the Fremont area. The room was nice, the casino was laid back, the dealers were friendly, and the buffets was alright.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jj2iou well worth the price--excellent weekend value
sawdust, oldschool, classic Vegas. No luxury speel here...just a comfortable room in a great location at a fantastic value for a weekend. I would rate it as 3rd best downtown (I've stayed at about a dozen downtown hotels--2 of which have closed--but not at the newest one yet.) Low limits on table games, NSUD, a fairly decent buffet, Tony Roma's, right in the middle of the Freemont Street Experience = a very enjoyable economy-class stay.

This is a fine enough hotel for the weekend. Comfortable enough to sleep in and easy enough to get to. It is in the downtown area which is very smokey and can be seedy at night. The hotel closed down two of its restaurants and a section of the casino while we were there to do some (much needed) renovations. This caused us to not be able to use our coupons. Other than that, it was good enough.
