Nice but not amazing
Overall it was nice...we had an amazing trip and our room was clean and nice. Check in was a pain and the service for both our check in and our friends check in was not great. The front desk seemed to be miserable and were not very accommodating. The location is great..it perfect to walk to the city center and various locations. I would only stay again if the price was right.

Excellent Stay. Excellent Room, Location, Staff.
Stayed here last weekend and had the trip of a lifetime. The hotel being as great as it was made the trip that much better. My first time in Vegas we stayed in the King Bed City View room which we enjoyed but this time we stayed in the 1-bedroom suite with the living room and kitchen. Almost every amenity was used from the fridge, to the projector, the jacuzzi in the bedroom, and even the washing machine included in the bathroom. There was a small tear in our couch when we got into the room with our luggage, so right away we called the front desk. Within 10 minutes the maintenance attendant showed up with all his tools and went to work. An added bonus to the stay was the Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood being attached to the lobby, giving us somewhere to conveniently grab cheap breakfast in the mornings, and just a place to walk around early in the day when the streets are pretty empty. I have never been so compelled to write a review after a hotel stay but I just have to give Elara their credit where it's due. When I come back to visit Vegas again I am without a doubt staying at the Elara!

this hotel was better when it was the westgate towers
When this hotel was the Planet Hollywood Westgate Towers, all of the employees were much nicer. The rooms all look the same as they did years ago, so you know Hilton did not put any money into fixing it up. I was very unimpressed with my stay here. I guess to sum it up... It looks like the westgate towers but has a very negative vibe. Not very fun at all.

Great location. Lovely rooms. Nice staff. Will stay here again.
I researched our hotel options quite extensively before booking the Hilton Elara for my very first visit to Las Vegas. I read a ton of reviews of a lot of different places and finally settled on the Elara for a number of reasons: 1) good price on Vegas.com, 2) generally very positive reviews 3) no ridiculous resort fee tacked on to the room price.
I was NOT disappointed. We arrived at about 10 pm on a Friday night and were checked in to our room without delay by a friendly staff member at the front desk. Our even-numbered room was on the 10th floor and we had a lovely view towards the south through the floor-to-ceiling windows (incl the airport and MGM Grand in the distance). The bed was very comfortable and for the two of us there was plenty of space in this "studio" room. It even had a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, small sink) with glasses and plates. There was also free WiFi.
When we took our showers in the morning we noticed that the water was not getting very hot, so as we were leaving for the day we notified the Concierge (very friendly woman) who assured us the issue would be taken care of. Indeed it was. When we returned to the room in the afternoon we had a voicemail from her (time-stamp shortly after we had talked to her in person), saying that she had notified the front desk and that maintenance would be taking care of the problem. We checked the hot water and it was indeed fixed. There was evidence that maintenance had been in the bathroom to do work (we had given permission for them to enter our room). We were very happy with how this issue was resolved.
As for location - the hotel is attached to the Miracle Mile shopping mall. You can self-park in the Miracle Mile garage off-of Harmon Ave and find the hotel lobby through a set of doors near an exposed stairwell on level 3A of the garage. It is super easy to reach the Strip by walking through the mall (maybe 10 mins at most and you're right across from the Bellagio). Plus, you have a ton of dining options right there inside the mall.
Overall I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. No question. We spent three nights here on the first weekend of March Madness, so yes, there were loud people in the suite next to us (they came in at 2:30AM and talked loudly for a few minutes, but then quieted down). Not much can be said about that. If they had gone on much longer I would have called the front desk, but instead I put my earplugs in and went to sleep. I do not blame the hotel for loud neighbors. It is Vegas, after all.
This hotel has no casino and the pool was closed, but since I was forced to give those a star rating, I chose the lowest.

Great hotel, excellent centralized location and features. Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Great hotel, excellent centralized location and features. Clean, comfortable and quiet. One of the key reasons we booked this hotel was for the pool, unfortunately the pool was under construction and closed.
Concierge was very helpful as well as friendly.
