The Worst I have been to Las Vegas 6 times, and stayed at different hotels, Luxor, Mirage, New York New York, Treasure Island. They are far better than Bally's for the almost same amount I paid. This is the worst place, the rooms are old, beds are worst than Motel, furniture is outdated, carpet is dirty; patches all over the place. Not only that the customer service is terribly poor. June 14, 2013
Great Location Bally's has a great location in the middle of the strip. This makes it a great choice for a hotel if you plan on experiencing the strip. I wish the moving sidewalks worked, and that there was a fridge in the room. If those are my only complaints after 7 days, that is great!! June 14, 2013
Great Time at Bally's I don't know about you, but I don't go to Vegas to hang out in my room. Located in the middle of the strip, Bally's was a great central locale to explore Vegas from. Rooms were great, the water was hot and strong, the whole hotel was very clean and the AC kept the room very cold. June 14, 2013
Renovations needed, but apparently on their way! Stayed at Bally's (South Tower) from 6/7 - 6/9. Room was terribly outdated, rug was pilled from being so old .. kinda dirty. Great view out the window (of the Paris Eiffel Tower - you could also see the water show at the Bellagio). One of the housekeepers said they are about to undergo major renovations, so that's a plus for people planning on staying later this year or next year. Staff was friendly - location was great. If you plan on staying in your room a lot, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for somewhere to sleep in between casino hopping, I would recommend Bally's. The price was a little steep for what you get ($120/night on Fri/Sat) but I guess you're paying for the central strip location. June 11, 2013
Location! Location! Location! Best on the strip! I have stayed at Bally's several times, mainly due to it's very convenient location. During this last visit, since it is still so fresh in my mind, I wish to mention that I had a lot of very friendly, upbeat, positive interactions with the front desk, doormen, restaurants, housekeeping and casino floor staff. I am just your average visitor, and I had no problems at all, but during brief conversations with the staff members in all of these areas, I received many offers to help me with anything I might need. This made me feel particularly happy and well-cared for during my stay at Bally's. I would like to send a big group THANK YOU! out to the staff at Bally's for their kindnesses and consideration of this patron and her guests. June 9, 2013
central location for entertainments the price for this trip is very reasonable for this 4 star hotel. June 9, 2013
Needs updating The staff at Bally's are great - helpful and pleasant. But Bally's desperately needs updating. It's clean but old and beat up looking. Doesn't compete with the new or refurbished places on the Strip. And the casino smoke ventilation system needs serious improvement. Way more smoky than other casinos -- definitely unpleasant for non-smokers. June 5, 2013
Nice value for location My stay at Ballys was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable as was the entire property. The pool was a really great surprise. I have to say the check in surcharge " resort fee" was a bad shock. Any resort that doesn't offer free Internet as a convenience is a slap in the face. All in all though I would return as long as the rate is reasonable. June 2, 2013

Answer:
Your best bets are probably to either take a taxi or catch The Deuce, a gold double-decker bus, that serves the Strip, downtown and nearby surrounding areas. Bally's is home to a Las Vegas Monorail station, which won't get you downtown but will be great for any trips you make between Sahara Avenue and Tropicana Avenue (at the MGM Grand).

Answer:
Take the monorail, get off the last stop at Stratosphere. Once you take stairs to street level there is the bus stop right there that takes you to downtown. Bus number is 108 I believe. They do say it over the intercom once you get close to the last stop what bus to take to downtown.

Answer:
I don't know if this will help. We rented a nice car at Alamo rental for just a hundred bucks for four days. The parking in Vegas is free in most casinos. Driving is a little bit scary with all of the aggressive taxi drivers but we tried to stay off of the strip and took the back roads. We parked at the Golden Nugget in downtown and they stamped our parking garage slip in the casino so we got free parking. Freemont street was SOOOO much fun! I know they have a bus service in Las Vegas but we figured after paying for buses, taxis, and monorails that it would cost less to rent a car. Plus we drove out to Hoover Dam. That was worth the 45 minute trip! We only used about 1/2 of a tank of gas while we were there. If you do rent, be sure to take pics of all the scratches and dents on the car. We didnt have any problem but some people have. Alamo was a very good experience. No hassle and we rented the car from a kiosk! No high-pressure sales people. Sign up for Alamo club on-line and get a free upgrade.

Answer:
Catch the "Deuce". Its a shuttle bus that runs up and down the Strip all day/night. There is a stop right outside Bally's to the left towards Planet Hollywood. Pay for your pass at the automated machine located at the bus stop there. You can buy one-time pass, all day pass, or 3 day passes. The Deuce goes up to Freemont St &4th. You're there!!

We used the RTC bus. It costs $5 per trip, or $7 for 24 hours. They have a local bus (double decker) and an express (accordian bus). Much cheaper than a cab fare. Drops you off right at Fremont Street and the local stops in front of most hotels. Very convienient to use.

The easiest and most inexpensive way to get to Fremont St. from any hotel on the strip is the Deuce (bus). A one day pass is $7 for unlimited trips. A cab ride from Bally's will run around $30 each way.

Hi,

Most of the classic/standard rooms do come with a chair and desk. To ensure that you get a room with a chair and desk, you can mention this to the person at the front desk when you check in. They will make sure that the room you're checking into has a chair and desk.

Self parking is free at Bally's. If you valet park, it is free, but you are expected to tip the valet guy when you pick up your vehicle. The bell staff can store your luggage if you check-in early and your room is not available.

I suspect the parking is free (since most hotels want your business) but can confirm that there is a place to store your suitcases until your room becomes available. For an extra fee you can also get early arrival and get your room immediately. Paid an extra $20/day to upgrade to the North Tower where a room was immediately available at 9:00 AM when we arrived.
