i did not realize how close the hotel is to the airport. There was some airplane noise but not enough to bother me.

Pros: This "resort" is located only a couple of minutes from the strip, across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel. The room was adequate for our two nights. The television was a decent size. The room was quite large, with a sitting area and small "bar" area with small fridge. Beautiful reception area and friendly staff. The room was perfect for our two-night stay, but I wouldn't use it for longer. Three pools, which were all nice.
Cons: We booked a king-sized bed room, but received a queen. No microwave, which was disappointing because we were unable to reheat our leftover food. The room showed some wear, such as snags in the carpet and broken tile in the bathroom. The shower water pressure was terrible, as was the lighting in the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom. The main pool was closed for a private event, and the only pool open was pool 3. Our room was in the far back, which was okay, except the planes were somewhat loud flying overhead. It didn't bother me, because I sleep very soundly, but it might be an issue for someone else. No maid service. The restaurant breakfast buffet was TERRIBLE. The only thing I could even stomach to eat was the fruit.
I would recommend this place as a budget-friendly option for 1-2 nights, but not longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rickmonster Very affordable, great location.
Vegas has a million attractions, and the place where 80% of time I am sleeping need not be one of them. It is well-located and very affordable. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and well-kept, perfect as a base from which to go and DO the rest of Vegas. It's not a destination in-and-of itself, but as a place to rest your head, it's fine. (Note: if you are sensitive to airplane noise, its location may be a problem for you. I'm not one of those people, so it bothered me not at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DisappointedGuest1 I had an overall bad experience at the Alexis.
Thermostat unit didn't work. I was put in a room that had work being done on the bed when I arrived. The walkways are poorly lit if lit at all. My notes for extra bedding were not attended to. I changed rooms after the first night to find an old package of strawberries in the refrigerator. The soap was not replaced during the course of a four day stay in the downstairs bathroom. The hot tub in both rooms were in disrepair and appeared dirty. I did not leave with the impression that the Alexis staff or management has a keen eye for good service.

When there is a concern with charges to the room and accuracy and not giving the customer a receipt for charges to the room, that is a big problem.

Was surprised to see how good it was for the amount I paid. A little ways away from the strip though but huge rooms!
