Rising out of the ashes of what was formerly Minxx strip club is Discreet Gentlemen's Club. The name was a perfect choice considering the previous club had some well-publicized issues with the law in 2007.

So what is the easiest way to turn the page? Bring in all new owners, management and throw in a celebrity (and a local at that) to not just attach his name to the property, but be involved with everything down to the décor.

Enter BMX superstar TJ Lavin. The Las Vegas native played a large role in turning this venue from an empty building that sat for nearly two years into what the staff hopes will be an upscale strip club. So far, they've made all the right moves.

Upscale starts at the door, where the freakishly-large bouncers are selective on who is allowed to enter the club. So keep in mind that you shouldn't look like you just walked out of a rap video. Once inside you will notice that the club isn't one of the over-the-top mega-clubs that are sprouting roots around town. With just one main stage downstairs (do we really need to fight over where our eyes should be looking anyway?) you'll quickly realize that this is more of a quaint club. But, here, that means the girls will come right up to you.

Amazingly, it seems like the ratio of girls is set perfectly to however many people are in the club. A quick scan of the club and you'll see that there is at least one girl at each table or in the case of the bachelor party here on this night, one per guy. But none of it seems over the top.

The quality of girls, as with most clubs, can vary from the exotically good looking to she should reconsider her choice of profession. On the plus side, nearly every girl is highly skilled on the brass pole and can make moves on par with Cirque du Soleil performers.  

There are two private, cabana-like booths downstairs to make the night a little more intimate with your favorite dancer or you can venture upstairs where Discreet puts a twist on the normal VIP rooms. There are six glass-doored rooms that will change themes about every two or three months.

Also, if you're forthright enough to call in advance, thanks to a number of costumes on hand, you can live out your naughty doctor-patient fantasy. Oh, and thanks to that doctor-patient confidentiality you can be sure that your trip will be, well, discreet.
