West Wing Bar

Unless you're staying in the one of its rooms, you might not ever venture into the MGM Grand's West Wing lobby – which would be a damn shame. The ultra-modern area of the massive resort, accessible through dramatic, red-tinted glass doors on the northwest end of the property, features the swank-yet-relaxed West Wing Bar, a true treasure among treasures.

Featuring comfortable furniture, cozy nooks and a hip, urban atmosphere, the West Wing Bar might just be the MGM Grand's best-kept secret. While high-traffic spots like Centrifuge and Rouge fill up quickly with revelers, the West Wing Bar – nestled behind a Starbucks and across from a trendy gift shop – typically draws a smaller, chiller crowd.

Its main area, decked out in warm amber and wood tones, is open and spacious, featuring a number of seats and tables close to the walk-up bar. Around a corner is a variety of semi-private booths, featuring imaginatively-arranged seating that has to be seen to be believed. Plasma-screen monitors in the cozy booths make the area feel like the hip living room you always dreamed of.

A perfect place to start or finish an evening, the West Wing Bar makes a great destination as well, whether you're coming to enjoy the company of that special someone or to watch the big game with your buddies on one of the plasma screens.
