The Bunkhouse Saloon

Review

Bunkhouse is a true neighborhood dive bar, with a revitalized energy from the First Friday crowd and hipsters that have an ear for indie bands. 

The exterior has somewhat of a Western feel, with slatted and log wood details and old carriage wheels around the outside. Inside, the cloudy air is usually thick with smoke. There is a lot of seating, including a bar in the back, barstools and tables and chairs to the left. To the right is a big screen with three oversized lounge chairs and a small walk-up stage where the bands perform. 

This is a no-frills type of place, but it undoubtedly has character.

The food at Bunkhouse is a classic slice of Americana. From the $2.99 breakfast special to Frito pie--a big casserole filled with Fritos, chili and cheese.
