A trip to Rhumbar at the Mirage is one of those things that transports you to another time and place. The stylish bar captures the look and feel of Cuba, Miami Beach or similar getaway destinations, during their "golden age."

Though it has an indoor bar, Rhumbar's main attraction is one of the nicest outdoor patios on the Strip, where you can enjoy a selection of specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and of course, rum. Living up to its name, Rhumbar has more than 40 rums and many great rum-based cocktails like the "Latin Manhattan," "The Old Cuban" and the "1944 Mai Tai." These cocktails are made with high-end rums, too, so expect quality drinks fit for a connoisseur.

This patio features misters when it's hot and heat lamps when it's cold and has an excellent view of the Strip and the Mirage's volcano and waterfalls. There's a tropical, Latin-themed atmosphere, complete with palm trees, comfortable patio seating and classical décor that feels like a time capsule from pre-communist Cuba.

You can also enjoy a nice cigar or hookah on the patio. Unlimited hookah runs about $65, while cigars start at $10, with higher-end or more Cuban-style (but not Cuban cigars, since those are still illegal) cigars costing more.

If you want to take a vacation-within-your-vacation to a nice little tropical destination, a getaway to Rhumbar is just what you need.
