You know you're in for something good when right outside a bar's doors there are several pieces of art featuring Christopher Walken.
Welcome to The Deuce Lounge at CityCenter. Mr. Walken will keep an eye on your night.
Part bar, part high-limit gaming area (the bar/lounge is run by Light Group, the tables by MGM Mirage), The Deuce is one of those places you can swing by for five minutes, but end up staying an hour. (Although the smartest among us know to plan to just spend awhile there.)
Surrounded by curtains and windows that open to let the energy from the casino flow in too, the Deuce Lounge seems a kind of coolly elegant that could be intimidating, but isn't.
There are gaming tables on either side of the lounge and open seating for customers in the middle. If you're hungry, there's a menu catered by Union Restaurant (another Light Group venture in CityCenter) and if there's a big game or fight on, there are TVs over the bar. You won't miss a single home run or knockout, but you'll be someplace way nicer than your living room.
(That is, of course, unless you have four chandeliers, mirrored blocks on the walls and fancy wood and leather accents in your living room.)
A DJ booth sits set back into one of the walls and music is almost always keeping energy inside the lounge high.
Whether The Deuce is your first, middle or last stop on the way to something else in CityCenter, make sure you give it its due. And do not make the joke you're dying to make. No one will laugh. We guarantee it.
