Ice House Lounge Review
The city of Las Vegas' redevelopment plans include adding entertainment, shopping and restaurants downtown, and the Ice House
Lounge is right in the middle of all the action, on South Main Street near Bonneville.
The two-story, 12,800-square-foot restaurant and lounge, located not far from the city's original ice house, is a hip, relaxing place to enjoy a cocktail or meal.
The interior is accented with large vintage photographs of Las Vegas, retro furniture from the '60s, stainless steel and a subdued green color scheme throughout the dining and lounge areas.
There are 13 42-inch HDTV plasma screens and one 110-inch high definition projection screen for viewing your favorite sporting events.
The center bar on the main level is accented by glass and stainless steel and has a bar top on one side made of ice to keep the drinks cold. There are video poker machines on the three other sides.
An upstairs lounge features special late-night promotions and is available for private functions and also features a second frozen bar.
Ice House Lounge's exterior has an Art Deco feel with white stucco, colored lighting and palm trees.
Vegas has no shortage of great weather, so be sure to check out the patios on each level.
From bar staples such as wings, nachos and burgers to the more gourmet -- filet mignon, pan-seared salmon and slow-roasted prime rib, the Ice House provides plenty to tempt your palate. For night owls, the Ice House serves its menu 24/7 and also offers breakfast selections that include French toast and omelettes.
