Located at Fremont Street Experience on the ground floor of Neonopolis (next door to the Heart Attack Grill), Banger Brewing is the first craft brewery to open in downtown Las Vegas.
It's a business that's been built on both friendship -- many of the owners are childhood chums -- and a passion for creating beers that reflect the spirit of Sin City.
The brews at Banger Brewing are described as "sexy, classy and one-of-a-kind." There are seven to choose from that you can order by the pint or as part of a flight. Simply Stout has a dark color and features the flavors of roasted coffee and caramel. It's ideal in winter. Two popular light ales for warmer weather are the Perfect Ten and Session. The DTB (or Downtown Brown) is a malty beer while El Heffe is a jalepeño hefeweizen. Those looking for a bold beer should try the Hops Anonymous IPA. Plus, the fresh and light-tasting Sandia, which gets its unique flavor from watermelon, has developed a loyal following.
In the taproom at Banger Brewing, enjoy sipping beer by the bar or at one of the cafe-style tables. On occasional evenings, local bands perform free concerts. For those who are interested in the art of brewing, tours are offered daily at 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 p.m.
