No one ever said, "You know what this strip club is missing? A nightclub."
But just a few years ago strip clubs tapped into the nightclub scene when they offered bottle service, after-hours parties with nightclub DJs and even shut down all topless or nude activity in exchange for go-go dancers and clubbers.
While some of those ideas worked, most revelers agreed that nightclubs and strip clubs should be in separate venues.
Enter Posh Boutique Nightclub.
Posh is located in the PLAYGROUND nightlife complex, the home of Crazy Horse III, but aside from a shared parking lot and bathroom with its titillating neighbor it is its own venue that is totally topless dancer-free.
If the 3,500-square-foot Posh sat inside one of Las Vegas' mega resorts it would have the same appeal as any of the city's popular ultra-lounges.
A private entrance leads you into the tops-required club where luxurious VIP booths line the back wall, complete with a storage drawer and a small heavyweight table that neither gets in the way nor knocked over (an unfortunate problem at many clubs).
Across from the VIP booths is another bench-style VIP seating area with the dance floor in between. The DJ booth sits to the far left of the club where you'll see nightclub veterans like Brett Rubin and Mikey Swift on the turntables.
The club is darker than most, but the low lights combined with the dark tones of the room add to its intimacy. A large bars runs the length of the wall to the left of the entrance where you'll find a mix of spirits to choose from and shorter lines than your average club.
Of course, when your neighbor has all the sexiness of Crazy Horse III some of that has to rub off. You'll find some of the sexiest go-go dancers you'll see anywhere and in its first month, Posh had two Playboy Playmates as hosts.
But that's as far as the sexiness goes. Dancers from next door aren't allowed to come to Posh. Guests, though, can take a quick trip through the hallway to the land of lap dances or sneak a peek on the way to the restroom.
Posh, though, remains its own venue. Revelers have made Posh a popular after-hours club with the action picking up around 2:30 a.m. and going into 6 a.m. and beyond.
So sure, strip clubs don't need to be nightclubs and sometimes nightclubs resemble strip clubs. At Posh, though, it's good to know you have options.
