40/40 Club Review

Women, a lot of women, spend hours, days, months, years, fantasizing about their very own Barbie dream house. There's the bedroom, the bathroom, the tricked-out kitchen. There's the office, because, hey, it's the '00s (we know, it's not as catchy as the '90s). There's the nursery, another office, whatever.

But there's one room in the house, that whatever plans are laid, whatever sketches are drawn up, mutates into something different, something else – the den.

Whether it's a husband, a partner, a father, a brother, the den is the place to maybe flex a little macho muscle. And, hey, women have macho muscle, too.

Now imagine if that perfect den was turned into a swank Las Vegas club. (We just blew your mind, didn't we?)

The third location of the already-successful New York club, the Las Vegas 40/40 Club is every bit as face-meltingly awesome – what else would you expect from a club spearheaded by rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z?

Much like the dream house's den, the 40/40 Club can be anything you want it to be.

A place to watch the game? There are 85 televisions in the club. Eight. Five.

Hungry? Mini burgers.

Thirsty? The 40/40 Martini (Stoli vanilla and Godiva White Chocolate Liquor topped with a liquid chocolate swirl). Yeah.

VIP? Count 'em – five VIP rooms.

Sports memorabilia? Jerseys from players you could only dream of meeting are autographed with personal messages and hung throughout the club.

The list? Goes on.

Seating in the club abounds, whether you've reserved a VIP room (one complete with a Ms. Pac-Man machine and others with pool tables), one of the many booths snaking around the club or just park it in the stadium-seating white leather "bleachers."

It should go without saying that the 40/40 Club is much cooler than any den, ever, (Did you spend $20 million on your den?) but we'll say it anyway: The 40/40 Club is much cooler than any den, ever.

But if faux-wood paneling and shag carpeting are really your fantasy realized, then, by all means, stay home. Everyone else will be over here. With Jay-Z.
