Tour Description

Take a trip to the Old West as you explore the old gold mines in Eldorado Canyon on this amazing morning ATV adventure and picnic lunch.

Your tour begins with transportation from your hotel to the remarkable Eldorado Canyon. Once you’re there, you'll attend a short safety and ATV operations orientation and then climb aboard your ATV for your adventure. Experienced guides will help make this an off-road trip you'll never forget.

Explore and get the chance to see hidden, abandoned gold mines. You'll stop at Techaticcup mine for a walking tour deep into the heart of the mine. You'll visit three different mine shafts, one which drops 900 feet. Learn how miners worked feverishly to find gold in desert. Ride through mountain trails where people once brought gold and ore on mule driven wagons to steamships on the Colorado River.

For lunch you'll stop at an Old West town that features foundations from one of the original 1800s mining camps. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch under a covered pavilion. A nearby natural spring furnishes water to the desert wildlife in the area. If you're lucky, you may see foxes and Big Horn sheep.

After your tour, relax during a shuttle ride back to your hotel and enjoy sights of the surrounding areas of Las Vegas.

Water, helmets, goggles and gloves are provided on this tour.

Long pants, long-sleeved shirts and, if the weather is cool, a jacket are recommended. Sandals and high-heeled shoes are not allowed.

The Early Riser Tour

This tour is slightly shorter in tour length (approximately four to five hours, hotel-to-hotel). It does not include the mine tour or meal. However, bottled water is provided.
