Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa Race and Sports Book Review

It’s a race and sports fan’s dream – wall to wall television screens.

At the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, it’s also reality.

At 18 feet high and 96 feet wide, the wall of televisions projecting sporting events to patrons at the resort is as awe-inspiring as the resort itself, which also acts as the corporate headquarters for Station Casinos Inc. The resort opened in April 2006 and its sports book is among the most modern and luxurious in town.

Eighteen projectors are used on the wall, which combines three giant-screen, 25 large-screen and 15 traditional big-screen-sized television monitors. The wall bank is touted as the largest in any race and sports book in the state.

But the barrage of screens doesn’t end there. The Red Rock sports book has 213 individual monitors as well, providing patrons the opportunity to watch the game of their choice anywhere in the race and sports book arena.

The spacious race and sports book also offers a VIP area as well as 28 individual player terminals to give race and sports enthusiasts a plethora of options. The book takes wagers on all major race and sports events including NASCAR, golf, tennis, horse racing and boxing, as well as futures wagering.

And if the action alone doesn’t whet your appetite, the adjacent Turf Grill, known for its Philly cheesesteak, has a full menu to fill you up while you take in the action. The Turf Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Red Rock is the jewel of the Station Casinos chain, and is involved with the same special events that are hallmarks of the Station chain: The MyGreatGiveaway pro football contest that lasts all season long, and specials for horse players each year when the Kentucky Derby rolls around in May. The resort is also linked to The Sports Connection, Stations’ Internet and phone wagering service.

Whether you are a horse player or sports fan, the lavish book is a must-see for Las Vegas visitors.
