Q and A with Cathy
Why/when did you move here?
I moved here in 1999 (from Baltimore, Md.) for better job opportunities and lower cost of living (from where I was in Maryland
at least!).
When did you start at VEGAS.com, and what does your job entail?
I started with the tour company in 2003, then became a part of VEGAS.com in March of 2005. I left briefly in 2007 (for family
reasons) then came back to work in January 2008. I originally started as an accounting clerk, helping out wherever needed.
Now I am an accountant, and I handle the financial side of things for the Hoover Dam and other box offices that we are involved
with.
What is your favorite thing about working at VEGAS.com?
The people! The benefits are the best. It's nice to work for a company that actually looks out for its employees.
What are your hobbies?
My cats, movies, books, games, the internet, music.

Give us your top insider tips about Vegas
- Yes, the drinks are free when you are playing slots, but they take forever to come back with them! So make sure you order two at the same time, so you never run out.
- The casinos are large and look like they're close together, but they aren't really! So make sure you wear comfortable shoes.
- Yes, everyone shocks themselves getting in and out of their cars. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle...we just live in a very dry climate. It is the desert!
