Disk 'O Ride Review

Dy-no-mite! For all you thrill seekers and disco lovers, the Disk 'O ride at Circus Circus' Adventuredome will definitely put a "spin" on your day trip.

If you're familiar with the Gravitron ride, the Disk 'O follows the same concept, except it allows you to experience a lot more freedom. Instead of being stuck in one spot like a human magnet, you'll sit on a motorcycle-like seat, which leaves your arms and legs free to move. And while the Gravitron is set inside a dark enclosure, the Disk 'O is out in the open -- so open, that people walking by can actually see your facial expressions. And since all the seats face outward, you'll catch a good look of all your surroundings.

Riders have the chance to listen to high-energy disco music while enjoying a jaw-dropping roller coaster experience at the same time. With the ride's steep angles and moments of a cool, refreshing breeze, you'll actually feel like you're flying. However, the spaceship-looking ride itself isn't just a "breeze." Disk 'O moves at a pulsating 14 rotations per minute on its 100-foot roller coaster track shaped like a "U." You'll spin forwards and backwards, twirling in ways you don't expect -- all while going up and down the track at great speeds. There are even moments you'll actually descend the track facing backwards!

The Disk 'O is so exhilarating, you'll immediately want to try it again from a different angle. But beware -- with all its crazy spins and twirls, there's a good chance you'll get really dizzy the second time around. Make sure to take a breather and walk around before you "Disk 'O" again.
