The Gun Store Details
- Hours of operation: Open daily, 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Cost: Machine gun rentals come in either 25 or 50 round increments and start at $50 (M249 Saw is $60 for 40 rounds). Handguns are $20 for 20 rounds.
- Payment options: Cash, credit cards.
- Reservations: None needed.
- Location: Located on Tropicana Avenue, three miles east of the Las Vegas Strip. Transportation to and from The Gun Store are available. Please call for pickup.
- Age/Height/Weight restrictions: Visitors younger than 18 years need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Note: It is always at the discretion of the manager as to whether an individual is old enough to safely handle a firearm.
The Gun Store Review
At The Gun Store, you don't have to be a soldier, a video game character or an actor to get your hands on some serious weapons.
We're talking Tommy guns. AK-47s. M-16s. MP-40s. You name it, you can get your hands on it! Best of all? You don't need a special license for anything.
The Gun Store allows you to try fully-automatic machine guns, handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Popular with celebrities as well as tourists, this place is definitely worth checking out. It was already featured on The Travel Channel, The World Fishing Network, YouTube and MySpace and in "Maxim," "FHM" magazine and "The New York Times."
Nervous? Don't be! If this is your first time handling a gun, rest assured that the trained staff will make sure you're in good hands. All employees are certified range safety officers through the National Rifle Association. In addition, many of the staff members are retired military and law enforcement officers.
During your tour, select one gun from each of the following categories (a total of three guns):
- Handgun (20 shots): Glock, Springfiled, Beretta, Walther, FNH, Ruger, Smith & Wesson or Dirty Harry .44
- Shotgun (5 shots) or semi-automatic rifle (10 shots): Benelli M4 12-gauge, Remington 12-gauge, AR-15, HK G3, Springfield M1A, HK G36 or Beretta Cx4 Storm
- Fully automatic machine guns (50 shots): Walther MPL, Madsen M50, Colt M16, HK MP5, Uzi, Sten MKII, Thompson, Grease Gun or AK47 / M4 (25 shots)
Firearms are subject to availability. Tour package includes eye and ear protection as well as range instructor.
The retail area sells a wide variety of firearms, flashlights, pepper spray, clothing, holsters, ammunition and safes. Free locks for firearms are available upon request.
