VEGAS.com's New Campaign Launches on ESPN Slam Dunk Championships

(LAS VEGAS, April 2, 2008) -- The new $20 million advertising campaign from VEGAS.com launches on April 3 during ESPN's College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships airing from 9-11 p.m. ET (6-8 p.m. PT) on ESPN and ESPNHD. All three spots from "The Vegas Experts" campaign will be shown, highlighting top celebrities and locations from the city including The Palms, Le Rêve at The Wynn and Pure at Caesars Palace.

The campaign features Vegas celebrities as a backdrop in the daily routine of VEGAS.com employees, who obviously hang out at all the right places. Celebrities featured in the spots include George Maloof, Carrot Top, Nathan Burton, The Blue Man Group and Louie Anderson, along with performers from Vegas shows Le Rêve, Jubilee, Chippendale's, Fantasy, Thunder from Down Under, X Burlesque and Gregory Popovich's Comedy Pet Theater.

The campaign is geared toward increasing tourism to Las Vegas while reinforcing VEGAS.com's expertise. In the spots, the VEGAS.com employees are unfazed by Blue Men bothering them in an elevator, blasé about the amazing sights and sounds backstage at Le Rêve, and smooth participants in raging parties at Pure and the Palms, all for the sake of their jobs. It's just another day at the office, Vegas style.

VEGAS.com teamed with their DRTV Agency, Boston based Advanced Results Marketing (ARM), a division of Mercury Media Holdings, and Chicago based Intersport, which produces the ESPN College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships, to develop a sponsorship and program integration for one of college basketball's signature events. VEGAS.com will debut the three spots during the two hour program and present a championship belt to the 2008 VEGAS.com College Slam Dunk Champion.
