Public Service Announcements for the Nightlife Impaired
Don't Get Arrested on New Year's Eve in Vegas
(LAS VEGAS, December, 30, 2008) -- Do you find yourself among the throngs of people on New Year's Eve in precarious situations? Perhaps you can't find a bathroom when you're in desperate need or you don't have anyone to kiss at midnight. Let VEGAS.com's nightlife experts put an end to New Year's Eve celebrations gone bad with PSAs to help everyone ring in 2009 without incident.
Filmed at the VEGAS.com headquarters in Las Vegas, the public service announcements feature the illustrious VEGAS.com nightlife experts sharing tips they've learned from living in Vegas and watching others make fools of themselves. The 15-second video PSAs will air on www.vegas.com/newyears/#tips where additional PSAs will be uploaded daily until New Year's Eve. The goal of the public service announcements is to educate the public heading to Vegas on how to have a good time on New Year's Eve without getting arrested.
Follow some of these helpful suggestions:
"If you are spending New Year's Eve on the Strip, it can be very difficult to find a bathroom. That's why it helps to carry an empty beer bottle. And if some drunk guy hits on your girlfriend, just give him your beer."
"Parking on New Year's. It's all fun and games until the cops catch you drunkenly stealing a parking permit with a pair of novelty glasses."
"You know that cute girl across the room you're winking at? She may not be a girl."
"Sunglasses are cool, right? But they are DANGEROUS. I knew a guy who wore sunglasses to a club on New Year's Eve and no one talked to him."
