Vegas.com to Provide Vegas-Style Play For Fun Casinos at Clear Channel Entertainment Amphitheaters -- Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion
Las Vegas, Nevada, April 26, 2002 - VEGAS.com, the most comprehensive website for the most entertaining city in the world, announced an exclusive Las Vegas related website, gaming industry and Las Vegas-related hospitality industry deal with Clear Channel Entertainment's Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion, both located in Southern California. Event goers will arrive to a scene straight out of the casinos with pit bosses and dealers in charge of blackjack, craps and roulette tables open for play during pre-show and intermission. Play-for-fun casinos are scheduled throughout the 2002 concert season at both venues and VEGAS.com plans to roll out the concept nationally. As part of the agreement, VEGAS.com customers may purchase entertainment packages that include VIP concert access.
"The innovative marketing concept to take gaming for fun and combine it with live entertainment - outside the confines of Vegas - is part of a multi-million dollar investment for VEGAS.com. "We are 'Vegasizing' these venues, with the thrill of casino play for fun," said Howard Lefkowitz, president of VEGAS.com. "Gaming enthusiasts have a chance to sample Vegas by playing some of their casino favorites, while newcomers can learn without the pressure of money on the table, and the arena atmosphere will be charged with exhilaration - just like Vegas."
"We look forward to having VEGAS.com add the excitement of Vegas for music fans attending concerts at two of our amphitheaters in Southern California in 2002," said Mike Gullo, Director of Sponsorship for Clear Channel Entertainment. "This marketing approach, allowing tens of thousands of individuals to sample a part of Vegas, is an ideal way to reach the southern California entertainment audience."
