Enroll in Stripper 101
Feb. 17, 2007
Some travelers embrace Las Vegas as a gambling destination. Others relish club-hopping or Sin City's entertainment, food, shopping and spas.
Now a new lure. Stripper 101.
As Vegas.com touts three packages at the Aladdin Resort & Casino: "Bring back your sweetie a souvenir he'll never forget."
Stripper 101, conducted in a dance studio in the resort's Desert Passage mall, teaches women the art of pole dancing and striptease cardio.
According to Vegas.com, students learn more than 25 exotic dance moves used in Las Vegas gentlemen's clubs, and upon completion of the class they receive what Vegas.com describes as a "genuine Las Vegas stripper" certificate. Another incentive: Women burn 400-500 calories per hour during the exercises.
Classes are offered at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 5 and 6:30 p.m. Thursdays and 5, 6:30 and 8 p.m. Saturdays. Cost ranges from $40 to $60 per person, depending on the package selected. Each package includes instruction and one beverage. While women are encouraged to "leave those inhibitions behind," no nudity is involved. Previous dance experience is not required.
