Las Vegas ticket site launches program allowing purchase-by-phone

LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Web site that offers Las Vegas entertainment tickets and information is launching a program to let people buy last-minute show tickets through their cell phones.
VEGAS.com calls it "mobile concierge."
It says it allows people who are already in Las Vegas buy tickets to shows and tours that day or the next day.
The program also features information on Las Vegas hotels.
It's accessed by by texting "777" to shortcode "VEGAS," or by visiting mobile.vegas.com on handheld devices.
Customers are connected to a live ticketing agent to complete a purchase.They can then pick up tickets at the box office or use their phones as the ticket, displaying a bar code.
