Howard Lefkowitz President and CEO Since joining the company in 2001, Lefkowitz has led VEGAS.com's transition from a run-of-the-mill, occasionally visited, online magazine-like city website into the largest city e-commerce travel site in the world. VEGAS.com's websites now reach 2.7 million unique visitors each month, more than 65 percent of the online audience seeking travel information about and reservations for Las Vegas. The sites provide thorough, up-to-date information and products from the entire city so that visitors can research and book hotel reservations, air-hotel packages, show tickets, tours, restaurant reservations, car rentals, golf tee times and nightclub front-of-line passes. A 108-seat, 24-7-365 contact center staffed with travel specialists provides offline sales and support. Along the way, Lefkowitz and his team have been instrumental in guiding VEGAS.com down a customer-centric path to success. Steps have included: creating a website with technology tools, infrastructure, staffing, and extensive marketing programs specifically geared toward the Vegas market, while implementing a rigorous expert-training program for the company and creating programs to monitor and continually improve customer satisfaction. Lefkowitz led the acquisition of Casino Travel & Tours in 2005, and the division provides staffing and systems for concierge and retail desks at more than 70 locations, including Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Bally's, Paris, the Palms and more. The company also provides land tours to destinations including the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. VEGAS.com's Box Office ticketing solution and staffing power some of the largest showrooms on the Strip, including the Wynn and Encore, the Las Vegas Hilton, the Rio, Flamingo, Harrah's and others. Cyllenius, the technology and solutions division of VEGAS.com, enables hospitality, travel, and entertainment companies to increase profitability and improve guest visibility by deploying advanced cashless payment technology, online sales solutions, and onsite ticketing tools. Clients range from individual hotels and attractions to major hospitality groups, and solutions are installed nationwide and internationally. Lefkowitz brought 25 years of visionary business leadership to the company, including executive roles at Home Shopping Network and EarthLink, where he was responsible for the relationships with eBay, Amazon, Disney, Sprint and scores of other internet stalwarts. Lefkowitz spent many years in the entertainment business working with NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, Universal, Paramount, Turner and many others. |
